Marion, AL. - The MMI Tigers finished the spring semester with a department GPA of 3.259 to extend their streak to "23" straight semesters.  After the final tallies, 14 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring, with 61 finishing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Eight of the nine programs also completed the semester with a team GPA above a 3.0 with the Lady Tigers softball team claiming the top program with an impressive 3.829 GPA!

"It is impressive to me for our student-athletes to accomplish this feat especially knowing that they have to balance not only academics and athletics but also other daily commitments withiin the military environment here," stated MMI's Director of Athletics, Michelle Ivey.  Some of these athletes are playing over sixty games during the spring and still able to perform at the highest level in the classroom. I applaud these student-athletes and their coaches for achieving such a high mark."
